We have been conducting emergency relief efforts non-stop across all regions of the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023. As part of these efforts, we recently sent a total of 36 tons of fresh produce, including potatoes, onions, cucumbers, tomatoes, avocados, oranges, and lemons, to the region via Jordan.
The fresh food items delivered from trucks received by IDDEF teams were sorted and packaged before being distributed to displaced families living in tents, shelters, and schools in the northern Gaza Strip.
The massacres, hunger, and thirst in Gaza have significantly worsened the humanitarian crisis. Access to drinking water, food, shelter, fuel, electricity, and basic necessities remains a major challenge. With the support of generous donors, we have been tirelessly working to stand by our brothers and sisters from day one and bring them hope.
As part of these efforts, we most recently delivered 36 tons of fresh produce to the region. Following intense work, our teams quickly distributed the packages to families. Last week, we also sent 1,500 tents and two trucks loaded with food to the southern Gaza Strip.
Additionally, on a daily basis, we continue to distribute 500 packages of bread, 3,000 hot meals, 25,000 liters of water via two tankers, and canned meat in Gaza.
